My husband and I took a ride yesterday and ended up in Woodstock. We drove around the circle a few times and we decided to try the cafe because it was busy. We were greeted right away and seated. Our waitress was fantastic and answered all our questions with confidence. The place was clean including the bathroom and that tells you a lot about the standards that the owner sets. Our food was excellent! My husband had the strawberry chicken salad and it was a very big salad and they did not skimp on anything. I had the chicken salad with cranberry and pecans and it was very good. My only dislike was their fries. They are those double crispy brand which I do not care for. I would ask that they switch to regular fries. Regarding a comment made by another patron, the ketchup they use is Red Gold which is a very good brand. We were Heinz ketchup fans for years but we switched to Red Gold and we really like it. Regarding coke products, my husband was offered Pepsi but since he does not like it he was going to just get water but our waitress did inform him they have coke in a can so he got that. We are looking forward to returning.
Love this diner, clean and pretty right next to the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple. Thus, you can go to the temple and remind yourself that all suffering stems from desire and that we should have compassion for all life then walk half a block and work up a desire for sausage and biscuits thus negating the inner peace you just stepped into. It would be really fundamentally incorrect to describe their sausage and biscuits as Nirvana in the Buddhist sense, but the dish is very good and so is the coffee. Most tables have a good view of the town square featured in "Groundhog Day," and the diner is next door to a nice indie bookstore.
We really like this place for breakfast. Good skillets, service is always good and fast.
Really enjoyed our breakfast here. Excellent food - avocado toast was great! And the service was friendly and attentive. Updates to the interior were also very nice. Would certainly recommend.
This place provides everything you would want in a corner cafe. The soups are tasty, the service is friendly. I especially like the avocado toast and the barbecue chicken ranch salad. It's a generous helping, with a cup of soup included.
